A DAMN GOOD BARBERSHOP.

"

FROM TATTOOS TO THE CHAIR.

John Greenhaw spent years as a tattoo artist before making the switch to barbering. Turned out cutting hair suited him just fine.

He spent years working in a windowless back room before deciding to do it right. In April 2021, Wimberley Barber Co. opened at the Vineyard Shopping Center — a real shop, with windows, and enough wall space to put up the things he'd been collecting his whole life.

He didn't open downtown. The rent's high. Locals don't need that. They need a place that's theirs.

THE SPACE

EVERYTHING ON THE WALLS HAS A STORY.

Almost everything in the shop came from John's personal collection. The bobcat taxidermy. The boxing posters. Tony Alva's skateboard. Route 66 signs. A vintage turquoise mirror. A Wimberley pennant.

The barber chairs are from the 1930s and 1940s. He'd had one in his living room for years before the shop opened. His wife was glad to be rid of it.

Nothing in here is decorative filler. Every piece meant something to someone. Most of it meant something to John.

WIMBERLEY, TEXAS

THE KIND OF TOWN THAT DRAWS PEOPLE IN.

Wimberley is a melting pot. You'll find artists, retirees, people who moved from Los Angeles and never left. Three Australians who don't know each other. Three Germans who might. They all end up here. The shop reflects that — welcoming to whoever walks in, holding nothing back. Grab a soda, a beer, or a whiskey. Get comfortable. This is your barbershop too.
